Overview
This CNC Router USB-BOB integration uses a joystick for multi-axis jogging. This is an advanced integration. The micro-controllers used are not required to interface to the USB-BOB.
Cycle Start/Stop Buttons illuminate for run/stop
Spindle Start/Stop Buttons illuminate for Spindle On/Off
Spindle Knob adjusts spindle RPM and switch toggles Auto/Manual
Feed Rate Knob adjusts feed rate and switch toggles feed rate to 100% of G-Code program
Rapid Knob adjusts the Rapid Rate % and switch toggles between fast/slow jog
Joystick controls movement in X, Y and Z axis. Button toggles MPG Enable/Disable.
Jog Step increments jog step increment ( distance machine moves per MPG Pulse ) of x1, x10, or x100
4 Customizable Push Buttons – Allow configuration for most used activities at the CNC Router Table.
Connection:
The control panel is tethered to the control cabinet and CNC12 PC. It is easily relocated and can be mounted next to the monitor or next to the operator on the CNC Router table. This uses a VESA quick dovetail mount to allow easy rapid relocation.
The USB-BOB can work in conjunction with the WMPG-4 or WMPG-6, however jogging can only be utilized on one control at a time. The WMPG does take priority for MPG movements when both are active and in jogging selection mode of x1, x10, or x100.
Two micro-controllers are incorporated into this design for added functionality. They are not required to use the USB-BOB. For more information on the micro controller integration please see the Joystick and OLED sections.
